My name is Vickie Gibbs. I am happily married and deeply spiritual. I have been blessed with a son, a daughter-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren, in addition to a few grand-pets, and many friends who love and support me. I have lived my life like most of you, experiencing good health and bad. At times I became frustrated with a lack of answers to problems I encountered and at other times, inspired by the medical profession, both traditional and alternative, which did its best to help people like me and you.
My earliest memories, and those which have lasted a lifetime, were ones of suffering through multiple surgeries because I was born with a cleft lip and palate. One surgery after another to repair an accident of birth. Each successive surgery necessitating the next. Then, like many of you, I suspect, I worked too hard, ate an unbalanced diet and stubbornly refused to believe that the suggestion to get regular exercise applied to me.
This lifestyle caught up with me and after going from doctor to doctor and trying this and that, I finally wised up. I am still human and succumb to temptations, for example, Tim Horton's iced cappucinos, but mostly I take much better care of myself. This includes a good, nutritious diet, moderation with work hours, exercising and regular fun. After many years of personal experience with the medical profession, I have finally reached balance in my life in health, professionally, and spiritually.
